This pond was created to attract more wildlife to the garden – especially toads to help keep down the slug population. It was lined with EPDM liner and marginal planting areas were created to make the pond as natural as possible. The gravel that was covering the area was also salvaged to blend the pond into the surroundings. A lot of native plants were used to encourage as much wildlife as possible. As I tidied up, dragonflies were flying over the pond, and the first toad was seen a few days later!
